Underfloor Air, Wiring & Cabling

More Information
Underfloor air, underfloor wiring and underfloor cabling is an alternative underfloor service distribution system which provides an effective approach to office building design and interior space utilization. This method allows you to be responsive to advances in technology as well as changes in your environment. It's an approach that maximizes return on some of your most valuable investments - your people, your technology and your property. Conventional service distribution systems using overhead HVAC, and overhead power, voice and data cabling have failed to provide a cost-effective, flexible and occupant-productive work environment.
Tate’s Perimeter Trough provides a method to both heat and cool a building’s perimeter within the same housing for maximum efficiency and plenum utilization. The trough is designed to house a fin tube for heating which directs a steady flow of warm air through an aluminum linear bar grille to the building’s skin. For optional cooling, the trough features flanged rectangular or circular openings for introduction of conditioned air. For ease of installation, the trough is self supported by standard flat head pedestals which are locked into position on the bottom of the housing.

Underfloor Air Distribution provides complete flexibility, better indoor air quality, and greater personal comfort while reducing energy consumption. Constant volume or passive diffusers are designed to provide greater personal comfort control by allowing the occupant the ability to control the volume and direction of airflow in their space. Thermostatically controlled VAV diffusers are available for use in areas where loads change quickly and inconsistently such as a meeting room or private office.

Tate's PVD Servicenter  access floor service box is designed to terminate power wiring at floor level and provide convenient user access to electrical outlets. The box contains a hinged lid with recess for a floor finish insert designed to match surrounding finish for maximum aesthetic appeal. Floor service boxes are installed within an access floor panel and can be relocated at any point on the floor plate. Low voltage wiring is accommodated in the floor box by either terminating in the box with interface plates or simply through grommeted openings for convenient pass through.

Underfloor Modular Wiring and Cabling under an access floor provides the ultimate flexibility for all of your buildings requirements. The voice/data system allows you to use any systems approach from home run to passive or active zone cabling systems. With a modular wiring and cable management system, reconfiguring is easy. Simply plug and play!
