Johnson County Sunset Drive Office Building 125 KB
When the county was looking to get out of leased office space back in 2003, Johnson County deputy facilities director Neal Angrisano suggested that a green building was not only environmentally-friendly, it was also a way to save money....Instead of an overhead ventilation system of snaking ducts and rattling grates, air circulates through a raised floor plenum.
Census Bureau 1MB

From the visually striking presence of its brise soleil façade to the inclusion of onsite amenities such as a lending library, dining facility, medical office, and gymnasium, the new $331 million structure succeeds as an aesthetic "magnet" for attracting the best and the brightest. However, it is the use of raised access floors with underfloor air distribution which delivered on the promise of flexibility that was so critical to the project. A design utilizing Tate Access Floors now makes it possible to easily reconfigure office space for either routine office shuffling or when there is a huge influx of staff.

U.S. Patent & Trademark Office 100KB

A desperate need for space was the catalyst for the new headquarters of the US Patent & Trademark Office. Prior to the construction of this building, the USPTO was spread among 18 separate facilities, causing a lack of communi-cation and cross-research among the roups....With this in mind, Tate’s underfloor wire and cable service distribution system provided the solution for GSA’s need for flexibility now and in the future.

Social Security Administration Call Center 30KB

Originally constructed in 1943 as a military warehouse supporting the war effort, the SSA Teleservice Center building was essentially unchanged until 1989 when a portion was developed into office space to support the then new SSA Auburn TeleService Center. Changes in both technology and the methods in which SSA services interact with American citizens brought about a need for newly designed and expanded space. Tate Access Floors supplied the raised flooring and underfloor air distribution system for the SSA Teleservice Center.

Systems Acquisition Management and Support (SAMS) Complex - Los Angeles Air Force Base 100KB

Though the LAAFB’s new complex is a “military base”, it looks nothing like the standard military installation. As a matter of fact, the concept is based on the design for another Tate project, the Infonet building. The result is the Systems Acquisition Management and Support complex (SAMS), a 4-building 540,000 sq ft state-of-the-art office complex housing the Space and Missile Systems Center.

Santa Monica Public Safety Facility 70KB

LEED CERTIFIED As the headquarters for the Police and Fire Departments in addition to the 9-1-1 center and other facilities, the importance of maintaining the indoor environment quality was imperative to the City. California Department of Education 125KB

LEED CERTIFIED - PLATINUM  The California Department of Education is a $392 million, five building, 1.5 million square feet office project - the largest state government office project in California’s history. The Governor’s Sustainable Building Task Force helped to design and construct these buildings, which are the “greenest” ever built by the state. This building includes over a 1/4 of a million square feet of office space with raised floor and under-floor air distributionsystem.
